Lee-Ann Lovelace and Dave Stoltz were joined by Ralph Rosen of Bruce Katz’s band in opening for Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez to rock Bridge Street Live.
I had told my sister that I would take her to see Lee-Ann Lovelace and Dave Stoltz opening for Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez at Bridge Street Live. She is a big Lee-Ann fan and had been planning this night since around January when it was first announced. Lee-Ann was opening for one of her idols, the awesome musician/entertainer Christine Ohlman, aka Beehive Queen!! We got there early and immediately ran into Dave Stoltz. Introduced him to my Sister before we went in. Met some friends, Mike and Karen, and sat next to them.
I’ll let my Sister do the rest of the talking. “Then once the show started the talent just filled the room!! It is a night I will never forget!! Lee-Ann was awesome as always!! A great blend with David & Ralph. Then Christine came on, and I am totally hooked!! OMG!! Brought the house down. (My brother kept telling me all kinds of trivia about her.) Whenever Christine invited Lee-Ann to come up on stage and sing with her, I thought I was going to cry!! HAHAHA!! Just so thrilled for her. Happy to share it all. My head is still in the clouds!! Fabulous night!!”
I don’t think that I have heard Lee-Ann sound stronger. Her voice just jumped off the stage. The selection of songs was very age appropriate for the audience.
I really enjoyed Stoltz’s playing. He had the opportunity to really shine. Now you know he is good but the band set up has never showcased him like this night. Stage rapport with Ralph an old friend kept the audience involved.
Ralph was an unexpected extra and fit right in. He knew how to take over and when to sit back.
So you can see we enjoyed the show. Had a light chicken salad sandwich that was just right for the evening.
