Computer problems in Memphis delayed the Blog postings.  I’ll start finishing now and depending on the snow storm I may be done soon.

Thursday is the time to get to see showcase events where a number of artists with something in common performing.

First stop was BB Kings where the crew was from an agency in Nashville.  Host for the showcase was Ted D of The Scissormen.  Opening the show was Gina Scilia.

Then it was time to get to the next showcase to see our friends Suit, Ty, Thurrsty.  Guess the name of this club.

If you said Purple Haze, you got it!

S, T, &T were part of the Blind Racoon Showcase.   When we walked in Tom found a throne for a picture.

Missy Anderson was performing as we came into the club.  She wowed the crowd and we gave the names of clubs in Connecticut.  Who knows, maybe we will see her in again in the future.

The Band

The Band

This year again I missed the Canadian Showcase.  It was going on at the same time as these Showcases. I will have to stop and see it next year.  There are a growing number of showcases and except for having to make choices, they chance for more blues is great.

It was time for a lunch snack.  Fried catfish at Silky O’Sullivan’s was the plate of the  day.

Okay, now time to get ready for the second night.  Same locations, different times and judges.

The Boogie Boys, The Balkun Brothers and The Mike Crandall.  With the passage of time, I am not sure when I saw them but I will pass the photos and comments along.

Next Blog the bands.
