Saturday Bill “Swamp” Shaka celebrated a birthday at The Cypress Restuarant in Middletown.  Thought I would drop a few pictures in the Blog.

Often at a blues event there are a number of shirts worth reading.  This one is a reminder of the risk our firefighters take protecting us.

All and all it was a fun night.

Got to hang out with a high school classmate.  Her husband worked with Ed Stack so they knew Ed and Lynn.  And she worked with Shaka’s sister.

Looking forward to better weather to catch some more of the Connecticut bands.

I am a big fan of the New Orleans based songs that Shaka and the Soul Shakers do so well. Fun the have so many friends “in the house”. The Carta Brothers always make us feel so welcome at their Cypress Restaurant, in Middletown.
