So much is going on that I am breaking the Blog posts up. Between the activities and meeting new people and old friends, there are a large number of photos.
The day begins with a stop at the merchandise room in Club 152. Tickets, CDs and information can be had.
There is also health screening area for various aliments like blood pressure, cholesterol and hearing.
Then I left and headed down Beale, where I ran into a friend from Virginia in the IBC, Bobby Black Hat.
Caught a few numbers at Kings Palace.
Then thought I would go to Rum Boogie and see if Vinny was interviewing anyone. His show “Music on the Couch” provides one with info from the artists as well as people in the “biz.”
Music on the Couch
Here are some of the people I was able to sit in on the interviews.
LLoyd Johnson, Jr from Teddy’s Juke Joint in Zachary, LA
And the man I keep running into, James “the Blues Hound” Nagel.
I actually enjoyed the interviews so much that I signed up to talk about the Winners’ Circle Blue Project at the Connecticut Veteran’s Home.
Walking out of the Rum Boogie was a Keyboard player. Music is everywhere.
Beale St in the day.
Next up, I head over to Silky O’Sullivan’s to see Barbara Blue and for some lunch. And the Solo/Duo act I came to know.
