Sunday was Blues for Dave at Black-eyed Sally’s. Dave Carpenter is a friend and long-time Connecticut blues champion. For three hours the blues community showed its support to help cover his medical expenses.
Dave has tirelessly supported the Connecticut blues scene for years, driving the Blues Bus and as a member of the Connecticut Blues Society board.
Music came from D. Smith Blues Band, Hardwood, Ryan Hartt & the Blue Hearts, The Eric Ducoff Band, and many special guests. It was a great and worthwhile afternoon.
One only had to look around the room and there were enough extra musicians to form another band or three.
For me, the lighting was a little difficult for photographs as you will see. But the sound and friendship was rewarding.
Eric Ducoff organized and ran a good event.

Dave’s request for a band was Hardwood.
A good day.
